GOD DOES NOT HEAL SUPERFICIALLY
Friday Night Gathering Notes 8-14-26
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,
(Ephesians 1:3)
And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.
(John 1:14)
Jesus is the Word (John 1:1,14) and the culmination of all of God’s revelation in the Old Testament law and prophets.
Psalm 119 is about God’s word, often using these synonyms: law, word, saying, commandment, statutes, judgment, precepts, testimony, way, path.
The written word of God and the living Word of Jesus Christ are one in the same. All of the riches that we have in Jesus is drawn from the law and prophets. Let’s meditate on these scriptures and think of all of these things that we have in Jesus. We often look to the law apart from Christ. But Jesus is the fulfillment of the law and the passover lamb that brings abundant life, not by our works, but by His blood.
Think of all that we have in Jesus as we read this.
Read Psalm 119.
